Bristol Zoo lecture on ecology and conservation of crocodiles in East Kalimantan

This evening at 5:30 pm Agata Staniewicz (PhD student at University of Bristol & Member of IUCN SSC Crocodile Specialist Group) will give a conservation lecture on ‘Crocs Versus Palm Oil: ecology and conservation of crocodiles in East Kalimantan’ at Bristol Gardens.

Conservation of rare crocodilian species in areas threatened with palm oil development. The talk will focus on research in Mesangat Lake – home to the Endangered Tomistoma and the only place in Indonesia known to have a population of Critically Endangered Siamese crocodiles. Mesangat Lake is also one of the six projects supported by EAZA/ IUCn SSC Southeast Asia Campaign.
